These unique beach
cabins are located on the North end
of Pennock Island ½ mile across Tongass Narrows from downtown Ketchikan, Alaska.The cabins are situated on three acres of wooded beach
property.The property can only be accessed
by boat.The two-bedroom and
three bedroom cabins offer a quiet
relaxing environment, a private dock, and stunning views of Ketchikan’s spectacular
waterfront, an ideal getaway, without being too far from the action.
A five-minute boat ride across the narrows will put
you in downtown Ketchikan.There are many
convenient places to moor your boat in Ketchikan.Most
moorage locations are located within one block of shopping centers, restaurants, grocery
stores, movie rentals, historical attractions, museums, art galleries, etc.
There is an easy walking trail to the cabins from the
dock.
Fishing guests can
depart daily for their Alaska fishing experience from the private dock.Either rent a boat and enjoy the many nearby
fishing and crabbing locations or take a guided fishing charter.
Many guests opt to go charter
fishing for one or more days, and then spend the remainder of their Alaska fishing trip in
the rental boat fishing on their own.By starting
out with a guided fishing charter guests get a chance to learn some fishing techniques
before trying it on their own.
Professional fish processing is
located on the Ketchikan side of Tongass Narrows.Drop
your fish off each day and have it cleaned, filleted, frozen, and vacuumed packed.Upon departure you can take your catch with you or
arrange to have it shipped to your door via FedEx.
For those that would like to
process their own fish, a cleaning table and limited freezer space will be
provided.

Set up in the cabins are very similar. All of the bedrooms in
both of the cabins have 2 extra long
twin beds that can be made up as king size beds at your request. The bathroom has
tub/shower. There is also a washer and dryer for your
convenience. The Kitchens are completely equipped with
dishwasher, microwave, pots, pans and dishes. Both of the living rooms have both queen
and double bed sofas.
These cabins have all the
comforts of home.

Rental Boats
Rental boats provide a very
economical and fun way to enjoy fishing in Alaska.There
are numerous nearby locations to fish for salmon, halibut, or Dungeness crab.These rental boats can get you to the fishing grounds in no
time.

Hewescraft Searunner -
This 179 Hewescraft Searunner.The boat is
17 1/2 ft
powered with a 4 stroke, 80 hp Yamaha Motor, and a 4 stroke, 6 hp Yamaha trolling motor.The kicker is tied to the main steering system for easy
maneuvering while trolling for salmon.
Most
boat rentals in the Ketchikan area are small open skiffs. Compared to
these boats, the 22' Ocean Pro by Hewescraft, and 179 Hewescraft
Searunner and the 23' Parker are larger, more stable, and provide shelter from the sun or
rain. In addition, these rental boats come equipped with the following

Hewescraft Ocean Pro -
The 22'
Ocean Pro has an extra wide beam, extended transom (actual hull length
of 24'), a built in fish hold, large fishing cockpit, and a fully
enclosed cabin. The Ocean Pro is powered by a Yamaha 4 stroke 150hp
motor, and a 8 hp High Trust Yamaha trolling motor. The trolling motor
is tied to the main steering system, and has a remote throttle for easy
maneuvering while trolling for salmon.
23'
Parker 2320 -
This 23' Parker is
the largest and most stable rental boat in the Ketchikan area. The
Parker is powered by a Yamaha 250 4 stroke for the main, and a Yamaha trolling motor. The
boat also has a fish finder, chart plotter, VHF, CD player, fishing gear
and downriggers.
