This 1926 home was the town's first stucco construction. Its
design is influenced with elements of the California Mission Style; a simple gabled roof,
arched entrance, exposed rafter ends, and carved gable brackets. The interior is almost
completely original with fine hand carved wood trim and an original fireplace. The many
windows offer a commanding view of the Tongass Narrows and cruise ships as well as the
nearby mountains and forest. Both rooms are beautifully decorated and unique. A common
area is available to all guests for breakfast, games, reading and socializing. Short walk
to downtown.
Warm, hospitable hosts, Lance and Loretta
welcome guests into their beautiful home. They are well traveled and enjoy sharing their
experience of travel from around the world and their knowledge of the Ketchikan area. |
